ABOUT BRANDY HERR

Brandy Herr grew up in Euless, Texas and graduated from Trinity High School in 2001. She went on to graduate from Penn State University in 2005 with a major in public relations and a minor in theatre. She moved to Granbury, Texas with her mother in 2009, and together they founded the Granbury Ghosts and Legends Tour in 2010.

Brandy has always had an interest in writing, and her work with the ghost tour helped give her the opportunity she needed. In 2013, she was contacted by Arcadia Publishing and asked if she would be interested in writing a book about the ghosts of Granbury.

Haunted Granbury was subsequently published in February of 2014.

Brandy was again contacted by Arcadia Publishing to adapt her Haunted Granbury for the middle grade reader in 2021 as part of their Spooky America Series. The Ghostly Tales of Granbury was published in August of that same year.

She has edited books written by Ken Sagoes, star of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 and 4, and she has been a staff writer for Lake Granbury Living Magazine and a columnist for Hood County News. She has several other writing projects in the works, so hopefully you will see other published work from her sometime soon!

Brandy has been the guest on several local and national podcasts and has been a guest speaker at various libraries, schools and festivals. She has been featured on many TV outlets, including FOX 4's Lone Star Adventures, NBC 5, The Daytripper, and Good Morning Texas. Most recently she was seen in an episode of Cash Pad on CNBC.

Brandy currently lives in Granbury with her husband, her rescued dog, and rescued cat. She has a passion for animal rescue and advocacy. She also loves anything nerdy, including video games and horror.
